Mrákotín quarry
We mine Mrákotín granite directly from our quarry. It is a stone characterized by high strength, durability, and unique aesthetic value. It is one of the highest quality building materials.
More about the quarryOne of our main business activities is the quarryion and processing of granite, specifically granites and granodiorites. Granite is a deep-seated igneous rock with a high content of quartz and potassium feldspar. Granodiorite is a similar igneous rock, characterized by a substantial amount of quartz and calcium-sodium feldspar.
We quarry stone from our own quarries located in the South Bohemian, Central Bohemian, Pardubice, and Plzeň regions. The granite we quarry is used for both or the production of rough stone products and for the production of fine stone products, which are processed at our facilities in Slatina and Prosetín.
We quarry various types of granite in our quarries, from grey, yellow-grey to dark grey.
Currently, we own 7 quarries and 2 production facilities, both of which also offer retail sales.
